The Tibetan Rites of rejuvenation are believed to have been brought to the United States of America by a British Naval officer in the 1930's . A "best selling book" "The Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth," is about this man , and his story brought information on the exercises and their rejuvenating effects to the United States of America. The exercises are thought to work on the chakras, or energy centres of the body. They help to restore the normal spin of the chakras, which in turn helps to restore vibrant health.The Five Tibetan Rites is a yoga routine based on a ritual of exercises done by the Tibetan Lamas , which helped them to live very long and healthy life and to stay ever young & vibrant. They are simple, yet highly energizing exercises which anyone of any age can do very easily. An important part of the Tibetan exercises is a conscious synchronization of breathing while performing physical activity. For thousands of years, medical practitioners have maintained that the body has seven principal energy centers which correspond to the seven endocrine glands, also known as chakras. Chakras are essentially energies within spinning vortexes. As a vortex is increased, the life force becomes stronger and more directed.

The five ancient Tibetan rites are said to normalize hormonal imbalances in the body, thereby holding the key to lasting youth, health, and vitality. 'For the first two weeks after I arrived at the Tibetan monastery, I was like a fish out of water.
I marveled at everything I saw, and at times could hardly believe what my eyes beheld. I soon felt much better, was sleeping like a top every night, and only used my cane when hiking in the mountains. A month after I arrived I received the biggest surprise of my life. In fact, I was quite startled. It was the day I entered for the first time, a large, well-ordered room which was used as a kind of library for ancient manuscripts. At one end of the room was a full-length mirror. It had been over two years since I had last seen my reflection , so with great curiosity I stepped in front of the glass. I stared in amazement, so changed was my appearance. It seemed that I had dropped 15 years from my age. It was my first intimation that I was growing younger; but from then on
I changed so rapidly that it was apparent to all who knew me. Soon the honorary title of The Ancient One was heard no more.'
